The 3M Automix SMC / Fiberglass Panel Adhesive is perfect for bonding sheet metal compound (SMC) and fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) body panels. It efficiently bonds SMC and FRP panels to each other and is also effective for bonding metal to metal too. Remember to prime the metal with a two-part epoxy primer.The 3M Automix SMC / Fiberglass Panel Adhesive features very good resistance to sag and can be cured at room temperature. It will match the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) finish.
The product can be used with applicators like the PN 08571 and PN 08117 manual and the PN 09930 pneumatic applicators. This adhesive comes with a 200 ml Dual-Syringe Cartridge System and based on an approximate 70°F environment; it takes about 30 minutes to apply and 24 hours to cure.
