A desiccant compressed air system uses a desiccant to dry compressed air. A desiccant is made of a material that attracts moisture; the moisture attaches onto the surface of the desiccant material.
A desiccant dryer usually has two towers filled with a desiccant substance. While one tower dries the compressed air, the other tower regenerates the air to keep the process going. This particular dryer comes with an easy to replace cartridge bag. A humidity indicator shows green when dry and yellow when the desiccant is ready for replacement. It also comes with a manual drain.
